Product Initiative Updates for Adobe Workfront Partners
Get some quick updates on three of Workfront’s largest initiatives: Admin Console and Unified Experience, Reporting Canvas, and Campaign Object
As we close out the last few months of 2022 and start planning for 2023, we know that partners have been keeping a close eye on some of the larger initiatives coming out from Workfront product management. Given there have been some slight shifts in timelines and changes in vision, we want to keep our partner ecosystem as up to speed as possible.
Admin Console & Unified Experience
To position Workfront well for future integration capabilities across the digital experience and digital media product, the engineering efforts were put into bringing Workfront into the Adobe Business Platform. The product management team orchestrating this initiative are moving forward with provisioning net new customers and migrating existing customers onto the Admin Console and Unified Experience.
How can you help your customers?
First, make sure you review the Adobe Workfront in the Admin Console course here. Also make sure you test out Blueprints to reduce your time to configure and deliver value to your customers.
Next, if you have a net new Workfront customer in the pipeline, work with your Adobe sales rep to identify the correct IMS Org ID to put on the customer’s account in the Adobe SFDC system.
Finally, if you have an existing Workfront customer interested in migrating early, submit a request through this survey to have the product team contact your customer for a discovery session.
Reporting Canvas
In June 2022, the product team over the Reporting Canvas opened the public beta to all existing customers. However, after stress testing our data base with the initial 100+ customers allowed to join, the product team made the decision to close the public beta until performance improvements could be made to provide the best customer experience.
At this time, there are plans in place to re-open the public beta and that will be communicated soon to customers and partners. To read more about the Reporting Canvas Beta, you can go here. To view an early demo walkthrough, go here.
Campaign Object & Project Maestro
The Campaign Object was intended to be an incremental step towards greater flexibility in the Workfront operating model. Due to strong demand, we have decided to expand scope and work towards a new, more flexible foundation for operational recordkeeping that will provide Workfront customers with:
- The flexibility to define fully custom Record types (e.g. “Campaigns” or “Channels”) that can be organized into multiple "Operating Models” (e.g. “Marketing Operations”, “IT PMO”).
- The ability to generate operational views (ex. Calendar, Map) on top of this new, more flexible data foundation
- Enhanced linking/referenceability between work records
This work is part of “Project Maestro” and is currently in alpha testing with a small group of select customers, so stay tuned for an exciting new update coming in early 2023. In the meantime, you can find more information about the former Workfront Campaigns beta here, or test out the functionality in your Sandbox Preview environment.
