2018 Adobe SPP Survey Results

We heard you! See how we’re improving the SPP so that you’ll have the best year with Adobe yet.

Thank you for participating in our FY18 Partner Survey! We had a 38% increase in partner participation this year, marking our second straight year of double-digit increases in participation.

Your voice and feedback are critically important as we continue to refine and improve the Adobe Solution Partner Program (SPP), making it easier to do business with Adobe and leading to even more success for you and our joint customers.

You Love Enablement. And You Want More!
Enablement benefits were identified as the SPP’s most valuable benefits, essentially tied with Product benefits, followed closely by Engagement benefits.

We are offering more enablement in 2019 than ever before, and we are bringing this enablement to you in cities across regions. Hopefully you’ve read about the expanded set of more than 90 sales and technical training events across the regions coming in the first half of 2019. These events include:

  • Technical Sales Workshops
  • Technical Implementation Workshops
  • Sales Enablement Workshops

Certifications & Specializations
An impressive 83% of survey respondents believe specialization and certification drive customer success. We are slated to launch 4 new certifications and 4 new specializations in the first half of 2019, helping your people distinguish themselves with a growing set of valuable skills and helping your practice distinguish itself with validated expertise in deploying and running Adobe solutions.

We are also working to improve our certification exams with the launch of the Adobe Partner Subject Matter Expert Community. This community helps us create and review certification exams to keep Adobe certifications relevant and dynamic. The Value of the SPP Portal
The Adobe SPP portal is where our partner community can log in and find valuable technical, sales, and marketing resources (training, webinar recordings, presentations, FAQs, etc.) to help you grow your practice.

Many of you regularly use the portal -- 83% of survey respondents visit at least monthly and almost half visit weekly – and indicated the portal is the most valuable Engagement benefit Adobe offers. This is great!

However, we recognize we have more work to do. We are investing in the portal experience to make navigation and search easier. Longer term, even more dramatic changes are in the works. Please continue (or start) to regularly utilize the portal and look for changes in the coming months (crossing fingers!) to make the portal an even more valuable experience.

Communications from Adobe
We’ve worked hard to reduce the volume of communications you receive from various teams across Adobe. We’ve also been doing a better job of segmenting our communications to you via your role. Have you updated your job role in your SPP profile lately (or ever?).  If not, please follow these instructions to help ensure you receive more relevant communications from us.

These efforts appear to be working as 87% of survey respondents felt that the volume of communication from Adobe was either “Just Right” or “Not Enough.” 

We will continue to look for ways to improve the volume, quality, and relevance of the information you receive from the Adobe Solution Partner Program.

Improve Collaboration
Creating a collaborative relationship between our partner community and Adobe is our top priority. You’ve let us know that the strides we made last year have helped support your business growth, and we’re continuing to put the focus on you. We’re enhancing our Rules of Engagement to further increase trust and predictability between Adobe and our partners. In addition, we’re placing more emphasis on driving Partner Created opportunities so that you can leverage your account base, relationships, and demand generation capabilities to originate, qualify and co-sell opportunities with us.

Your feedback is highly valuable, and we believe these changes to the program will position both our partner community and Adobe to achieve incredible success in 2019. We look forward to sharing additional program changes and enhancements throughout the year that will allow us to grow together and help you build leading Adobe practices.
