Last month we shared the exciting news that Adobe intended to acquire Marketo, the market leader for B2B marketing engagement. Today, we announced another milestone, the completion of the acquisition.

This acquisition brings together Adobe Experience Cloud’s analytics, personalization and content capabilities with Marketo’s lead management and account-based marketing and revenue-attribution technology. Marketo Engagement Platform will become part of Adobe Marketing Cloud, the leader in cross-channel campaign management for both B2B and B2C use cases across all industries.

We’re ideally positioned now to help companies further connect marketing engagement with revenue growth – and with that, comes significant opportunities for our partner community.

Here’s what you can expect as we move into high gear on our integration efforts:

  • Go to Market: The Marketo sales team will continue to take the lead on selling Marketo as we work on a joint plan for FY19. If you see an opportunity to introduce Marketo into an existing or new engagement, please reach out to your contact on our Partner Sales team, who will ensure you are connected to the right Marketo sales lead. Additional guidance is provided in the Partner FAQ.
  • Partner Program: There are no immediate changes to Marketo or Adobe partner programs. We are assessing all of our programs as part of our program review for 2019.
  • Enablement: We will offer a partner webinar in the next two weeks; look for details on the Events section of the Solution Partner Portal.

Both Marketo and Adobe are focused on closing out our respective fiscal years strong, which means our priority will be to minimize disruption to the business. As always, we have deals to close, deployments to rock and customers to delight, and our partners are critical to all these areas.
