December 2021 Updates for Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service

Now Available: App Builder extensibility for Adobe Experience Manager is a new add-on that expands the ways customers can extend Adobe Experience Manager and integrate it with other Adobe and third-party solutions. Customers can even try App Builder before they buy.

- Experience Manager Assets: Connected Assets—Lifecycle Events connects Experience Manager Sites and Assets deployments, allowing access to assets for remote authoring of experiences. This prerelease feature on Experience Manager as a Cloud Service will be made available for all AEM deployment types.
- Experience Manager Forms: New Out-of-the-Box Themes helps organizations standardize forms with style. Previously available on AEM Managed Service; these Themes are now available as a prerelease feature on AEM as a Cloud Service.
- Experience Manager Forms: Forms Portal gives organizations a portal for end users to save forms fields securely and retrieve them without loss. Previously available on AEM Managed Service, Forms Portal is now available as a prerelease feature on AEM as a Cloud Service.
Omnichannel Delivery features help brands engage with customers quickly at any touchpoint with flexible, API-first experiences.
- Experience Manager Sites: Quick Site creation is now generally available, with features that give brands low- to no-code tools so they can go live in just days. Learn more here.
- Site templates use pre-configured pages, layouts, and themes to deliver a quick start for experience creation.
- Quick site-creation wizard lets business users import existing site templates for content population with no coding requirement.
- Integrated front-end workflow helps developers update and preview style changes locally before deploying them through a separate front-end pipeline.
- Experience Manager Sites: self-service reference demos, available on Cloud Service deployments, can be used to showcase product, test new functionality, and troubleshoot. These demos serve as a best-practice omnichannel reference implementation for Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service. Sites, Commerce, and Assets are available now; Screens and Forms are on the way.
- Experience Manager Sites: Commerce Integration Framework (CIF) Enhancements make building commerce experiences faster and easier.
- New Product Recommendation types, including recommendations based on recently viewed items, are now supported within the component library.
- Dedicated myAccount pages for order history, address book pages, and more are now based on shared components for improved time to value.
- WCAG 2.0 compatibility for additional CIF components improves end-user accessibility.
Cloud Foundation features accelerate time to value and reduce total cost of ownership.
- New Cloud Manager UI offers easier, faster self-service configuration of Environment Variables, so users can create configurations themselves and update or delete them as needed.
