November 2021 Updates for Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service

Accelerating Cloud Service front-end pipelines; quarterly feature pack; Workfront/Experience Manager connector now available.

Please find technical and sales resources below regarding the November 2021 Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service release. These updates are currently available to all your Experience Manager as a Cloud Service customers. Updates include the acceleration of AEM Cloud Service front-end pipelines from 45+ min to 10 min, greater visibility into Cloud Service health and performance, and the release of the AEM 6.5 quarterly feature pack for Managed Services and on-prem deployments.

Workfront/Experience Manager Connector

The enhanced connector for Workfront and Experience Manager is now available. The connector strengthens the integration between Adobe Workfront and Adobe Experience Manager Assets, so organizations can accelerate the creation and delivery of personalized content at scale.

The connector offers auto-generation of linked Experience Manager folders to Workfront objects, mapping of Workfront metadata to Experience Manager objects, and bi-directional metadata updates. It supports AEM Assets Cloud Service, Managed Services, and on-premises deployments, and is available free of charge. Implementation must be performed by Adobe Consulting Services or a qualified Adobe partner.

Cloud Foundation and Tools Updates

  • Minimize risk of data loss on AEM as a Cloud Service: Offsite Backup/Restore protects all content stored and managed by AEM, with three-month backups in a geographic region outside that of the operating instance.
  • Easily track migration readiness: Cloud Acceleration Manager lets users upload multiple BPA reports in the same project, and monitor progress using an easy-to-read, interactive Trendline report. See how it works.

Cloud Manager Updates

  • Cut AEM Cloud Service pipeline cycles from 45+ minutes to 10: Accelerated Front-End Pipelines let developers define and execute dedicated front-end-only code pipelines, including JavaScript and CSS, in parallel if needed.
  • Accelerate AEM Cloud Service Code Quality Pipelines: The build step towards reducing pipeline duration has been accomplished. Future releases will increase efficiencies in the deployment step. Preview what's on the way.
  • Monitor AEM Cloud Service health and performance: A custom New Relic APM monitoring suite gives IT and developer users access to key metrics from infrastructure- and application-level monitoring.
  • New Cloud Manager APIs: Edit Pipeline, Program Creation, and Environment Creation APIs extend Cloud Service developer capabilities.
  • Easily track deployed code in Cloud Manager. Git Commit ID—a unique new identifier generated by Git—simplifies tracking of commit details, comparison of commits, and visibility of commit changes. Learn more for both Cloud Service and Managed Services environments.
  • Delight users with a more intuitive Cloud Manager experience: A new Pipelines page shows any pipeline’s execution status, with details on hover-over. A new Activity page provides an audit trail with a view of the pipeline and details of code execution status.
