However, the ordering process for these business customers was cumbersome and time-consuming. The company needed to simplify and streamline its customer experience. It also needed to reduce its current operational overhead and create more autonomy for its salespeople.

A key concern was ensuring a simple and easy purchase process for the company's customers. Not only did the company have thousands of products from its many brands, but the website and app had to accurately show the correct product prices based on each customer's distributor, payment method, available discounts, and appropriate tax rate.

On top of that, the sales team needed to be able to start an order for a customer and then send it to that customer for completion without creating any additional operational overhead. Essentially, the solution needed to offer B2B selling functionality wrapped in the fluidity and simplicity of a traditional B2C experience.
