Launching into a new ecommerce frontier
To support a unified ecommerce experience, the retailer needed a single platform that could achieve all its goals. Since it had no physical locations and utilized a global network of wholesalers and distributors, the chosen platform had to be comprehensive yet flexible enough to handle the retailer's business model.

Not only would the team be able to improve the website user experience, but Balance also integrated the rest of the systems into the retailer's environment to streamline its processes. The enhanced shopping experience on the website now offers streamlined and personalized journeys for both retail and trade customers. It also makes it easier for employees to collaborate across the business. The newly integrated systems first allowed for simplified product information management and order fulfillment with the ERP. In addition, the new functionality meant the retailer's dedicated content team could develop targeted, high-value sales enablement materials to improve customer retention and lifetime values.
Balance didn't stop there, however. With Commerce integrated into the rest of the retailer's systems, the team streamlined marketing and sales processes, allowing the retailer to send pre-scheduled promotional campaigns and increase customer interest. Breaking new ground
With all the new functionality enabled by Balance and Adobe Commerce, the retailer achieved amazing results. After launch, the ecommerce conversion rate doubled, and the retailer saw a 3.6% increase in retail customers, as well as a 29% increase in new North American buyer accounts in the trade sector.
With the success of the new North American website, the retailer can now tap into new market opportunities, with goals to expand its ecommerce operations into Australia, New Zealand, and Europe. The improved cross-departmental collaboration has also opened new avenues for growth, allowing the retailer to climb even higher.
