Get ready for Engagement Map in Adobe Marketo Engage

Learn about a powerful new visualization tool that will GA on August 3, 2023

Engagement Map, formerly known as “Journeys,” in Marketo Engage, will be generally available worldwide on August 3, 2023. Engagement Map brings the power of visualization to Marketo, allowing users to build out reusable campaigns aided by intuitive visualization.

Engagement Map is a complementary add-on with full backward compatibility. With the click of a button, you’ll be able to see each of your existing campaigns within the visual Engagement Map interface. Even better, Engagement Map gives you the best of both worlds: users can choose to use the existing UI or to build and visualize in the new UI. Users retain all the valuable features of Marketo Engage; these features are now complemented by a visual creation tool.

Engagement Map helps marketers at all levels with the following:

  • Plan. Visualize how leads will flow through your campaigns with better visibility into the lead journey and through mapping out interconnected campaigns.
  • Execute. Streamline reusable campaign creation, new user onboarding, error handling, troubleshooting, and brainstorming with peers.
  • Align. Share intuitive visuals with stakeholders to increase their visibility into your complex marketing activities and help with decision-making.

Here’s what you can do with Engagement Map:

  • Simplify workflows with a “Build in Engagement Map” button that generates your campaign visuals out of the box. You just build out a campaign and click the button to populate the visuals. If needed, you can also start by building your campaigns within a journey. As noted earlier, once this feature is released, it will be backward compatible with your existing campaigns at the click of a button.
  • Audit workflows easily using visualizations of interconnected campaigns. That lets you quickly identify the root cause of errors. For example, you’ll be able to see why one of your nested campaigns isn’t pulling in the expected number of leads and correct that error directly from Engagement Map.
  • Specify all your campaign settings for recurring and scheduled campaigns in a single place in Engagement Map. Once you review your campaign and verify that it’s ready to start, you just navigate to the Settings tab to either set up or review all your campaign settings before activating your campaign.
  • Easily export and share your campaigns or entire journeys with others with the user-friendly design and intuitive navigation. Within Engagement Map, you can take actions from the top-level navigation, such as activating your campaign or exporting an image of the entire journey for sharing with non-Marketo Engage users.
