DAM Migration Service Opportunities with Adobe Workfront Customers

Learn how partners can support Workfront customers in migrating from Workfront DAM to Adobe Experience Manager Assets.

We’re now more than a year into the integration of Adobe Workfront into the Adobe family, and we’re starting to see Workfront connect more and more with other Adobe products. Adobe customers are looking for better ways to streamline their content creation lifecycle and the integration with Adobe Experience Manager Assets is the first major steppingstone in delivering on that demand.

With that, there is an opportunity for any partners working with Adobe Workfront customers who are utilizing the Workfront DAM (a whitelisted Bynder product) connection. Workfront DAM will not have ongoing innovation, unlike Experience Manager Assets, which will have the added bonus of a seamless, native integration within Adobe products.

For digitally mature enterprises requiring robust DAM capabilities, partners can support these customers in migrating to Experience Manager Assets. As a partner, what do you need to know to take advantage of this opportunity?

Share the following value propositions with your customers:

  • Adobe has a robust product roadmap for the integration of Experience Manager Assets with Adobe products.
  • Stay within Adobe ecosystem for seamless, native integrations and workflow experiences.
  • Workfront DAM renewals are no longer allowed after FY22. Migrating to Experience Manager Assets will keep the customer from having to maintain two different contracts.

Considerations for partners:

  • The connection between Adobe Workfront and Experience Manager Assets can be achieved via the Workfront for Experience Manager native integration (for Cloud Service deployments) or enhanced connector (for Managed Services and OnPrem deployments). Read more about the differences here.
  • To take advantage of the native integration, customers will first need to migrate to the Adobe Admin Console. Learn more here.
  • To avoid tight deadlines with customers coming to the end of their Workfront DAM contracts, plan to have this conversation with them 9-12 months prior to contract renewal. That gives you plenty of lead time to close the sale and begin the implementation work.
