Native Integrations Versus Fusion: How to Choose and When to Use
Connecting Adobe Workfront to other Adobe products or third-party software systems creates stickiness and more value for customers—learn which options are available and when to use them with your customers.
Connecting Adobe Workfront to other Adobe products or third- party systems provides immense value to your Workfront customers, allowing easier synchronization of work, increased visibility across systems, and a reduction of duplicate efforts. Automations built using Adobe Workfront Fusion also increase work velocity and decrease manual errors. Native integrations are free, whereas Adobe Workfront Fusion comes with a price tag.
So how do you choose which route to go with your customers?
By design, native integrations are set up to synchronize data across Workfront and another system. The objects and data that native integrations can connect are pre-determined through discovery with customers as critical items necessary to keep users in opposite systems informed. Native integrations, however, can only be customized to a degree. They are not intended to automate complex business processes, but rather to support the coordinated efforts across two systems. The full list of native integrations can be found here.
If a customer needs to automate a business process or build synchronization across multiple systems as events occur, then Adobe Workfront Fusion is the better solution to meet that need. The role of Workfront Fusion is to automate processes so that customers can concentrate on new tasks rather than repeating the same tasks again and again. It works by linking actions within and between apps and services to create a scenario that transfers and transforms data automatically. Learn more about Adobe Workfront Fusion here.
When working with customers, consider whether they are simply trying to connect the data between two systems or if they would benefit more from automating a business process.
