Changes to all Commerce Credentials

All Commerce certifications renamed to Adobe Commerce certifications and now require renewal.

With the recent rebranding of Magento Commerce to Adobe Commerce, all Magento Commerce credentials have been renamed and are now also subject to renewal. You can read the Adobe Commerce Recertification FAQ for more info.

Adobe Commerce Recertification

All Adobe certifications require regular renewal. This helps ensure credential holders can create value using the most current and relevant Adobe product knowledge and skills. Renewal also enhances the value of an Adobe credential to customers and employers.

Beginning July 1, 2021, all Adobe Commerce certification levels will have a two-year recertification requirement. Certified individuals will be able to recertify by successfully completing a renewal certification exam, which are shorter and take less time to prepare for than a regular certification exam.

Recertification Policy

Recertification must be met prior to the certification expiration date. Individuals with expired certifications must take the regular certification exam (as opposed to a shorter recertification exam) to regain their status. Recertification can also be achieved by advancing to the next level of certifications (from Expert to Master, for example).

All certifications or recertifications will be active for two years from successfully passing the certification or recertification exam.

Recertification Schedule

Existing certification holders can see their expiration dates within the Adobe Credential Manager.

Adobe will remind certification holders via email at 90, 60 and 30 days before their certification expires (this schedule is subject to change). Please keep your email updated within your Adobe Credential Manager account.

If you are an existing Magento credential holder, you will be required to recertify according to the following schedule:

Certification Achievement Date	Recertification Due Date
Before December 31, 2019	December 31, 2022
Between January 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021	June 30, 2023

Important reminders

Certification expiration dates can be found in the Adobe Credential Manager
There are no extensions within the Adobe Credential Program
It is the learner’s responsibility to recertify on time
The Adobe Credential Program will send renewal email reminders to the email address in your Adobe Credential Manager profile, so please keep your email address up to date
