Adobe Begins Universal Provisioning of Adobe Experience Platform Capabilities

All customers will be updated to the Adobe-wide product provisioning platform at no cost.

Quick Summary:

  • We are updating all Experience Cloud customers to the Adobe-wide product provisioning platform
  • Several foundational Experience Platform capabilities will now be provisioned to every Experience Cloud customer
  • There is no cost to customers and we anticipate no downtime
  • There will be no change to the way customers access or use Experience Cloud products

On July 18, Adobe began updating Adobe Experience Cloud customers to the Adobe-wide product provisioning platform. This unified provisioning platform is faster and more reliable, will help reduce time to access for customers, and will streamline the Admin Console experience. This will also enable us to provision every customer with foundational Experience Platform capabilities that can aid in interoperability between some Experience Cloud products.

The update requires no action by the customer. We anticipate no downtime associated with the update, and there will be no impact to the way customers log in to or use Adobe Experience Cloud products. Further, we anticipate all customers will be updated by the end of August.

As part of this update, several foundational Experience Platform capabilities will now be provisioned to every Experience Cloud customer (see the list of capabilities below). These entitlements will come at no additional cost to the customer. After the update, every customer will see entitlements for these capabilities in the Experience Cloud Admin Console and will be able to begin using them immediately.

An email communication informing customers of the update has been sent to all Experience Cloud Customer Admins.

The following capabilities will be available in the Adobe Experience Platform product card in the Admin Console:

  • Assurance: Helps customers inspect, proof, simulate, and validate how they collect data or serve experiences in their mobile app
  • Datastreams: Allows customers to update the server-side configuration without having to make code changes on their website
  • Experience Data Model: Provides common structures and definitions for experience data that allow any application to communicate with Platform services
  • Identity Namespace: Bridges customer identities across devices and systems
  • Places: Geo-location service that enables mobile apps with location awareness
  • Privacy: Helps customers automate compliance with data privacy regulations
  • Sandboxes: Virtual environments customers can use to help develop and evolve digital experience applications
  • Schemas: Ensures standardization of data in Experience Platform, allowing data to be reused across systems in the org
  • Visitor ID: Provides a common ID for cross-application integration

Adobe Experience Platform Data Collection (our tag management solution, formerly called Launch) will continue to appear as its own separate product card.

As part of the update, all customers will have access to several foundational Experience Platform capabilities.

  • For existing Experience Platform customers, they will notice a more streamlined Admin Console — entitlements have been consolidated so they will see fewer product cards.
  • For customers who have not purchased Experience Platform, they will now see product entitlements for Experience Platform and Data Collection, containing new entitlements for Experience Platform capabilities they will have access to.
